Find the Best ID Card Provider For You
By Kelsey Williams of Safe-Card ID
Tips for Finding an ID Card Making Company If you are looking for someone to make your group's identification badges, it is important to find na reliable service that will produce the professional looking badges that you are hoping for. Following are some tips that you will want to consider as you look for a company that will meet your needs. 1. Are they able to offer PVC card printing? Laminate badges are dated and can be easily tampered with. Current badges are printed on a plastic card that is similar in size to your VISA card. 2. Do they have quick turn around service? Some companies are able to turn badges around much quicker than other card companies due to the production equipment that they have and also their corporate polices about turn around time. Some companies take a week or two in production to turn around a small order of badges. Other companies make it their goal to complete badges in less than one work day. 3. Does the company provide quick response to inquiries? If the company does not respond within a short time frame to your inital inquiry about badge making, you may have trouble getting a quick response from them if any issues arise in future orders. The quick response and friendly attitude on the phone during the inital contact should provide you with confidence that the company will be there for you and be responsive to you in the future. 4. Does the company provide many badge attachment options? There are over 3,000 badge attachment options available to wear badges. Based on the environment of your group, the badges may endure alot of use or they may be tucked in a wallet the majority of the time. Your specific use may require a specialized holder or carrier. A great ID card company will carry or be able to obtain attachments from simple badge clips to unique badge holders for a special situation. 5. Does the company provide a proof of the badge layout for your approval prior to card making? It is important to have a say in how the badge will look when printed. A good design department will be able to provide a PDF or hard copy proof of the badge layout so that adjustments can be made prior to badge printing. The inital badge should turn out as expected. Good communication and proofs can make sure that expectations are met.
